DBXazapi is an application programming interface (API) that allows programmers to read and analyze Outlook Express DBX files from programs written in VB, VBA, VB.NET, VBScript, C, C++, C# and ASP. This API is completely independent of its GUI-based sister product DBXanalyzer. See DBXazapi and DBXanalyzer for more details about these two products.
To download a Licensed Version of DBXazapi you need to have purchased a licensed version of DBXanalyzer and paid for the Special Upgrade. These payments can be made at our Kagi Payment Site. Your order should look like this:
Once you've paid, enter your details below and click on the Download button. (If you already have a licence for DBXanalyzer, just purchase the Upgrade - see below.)
Your Registered Name is the organisation name you gave when purchasing the product (or something close to it).
The file to be downloaded is a 248 kB zipped file. Save the zipped file to your hard drive, unzip it, and follow the instructions in the readme file.
The only difference from the Trial Version is that the DBXazapi.dll executable and its corresponding C library file DBXazapi.lib are different. Just copy and overwrite any existing versions of these files with the ones in the download.
Note that the Licensed Version executable DBXazapi.dll is a completely different file from the one in the Trial Version. The latest Licensed Version is 1.2.1.1 last updated 9 September 2025.
If you have problems, please email us and quote your licence ID, Kagi invoice, transaction number, or any other information that will enable us to identify your transactions.

If you purchased both DBXanalyzer and the upgrade at the same time, both the Licence ID and Upgrade Code will be in the same email (just keep scrolling).
If you have lost one or both of these, please email us with information that will enable us to identify your transactions, for example, date of purchase, email address used, shipping address, etc.
If you already have a licensed version of DBXanalyzer, just purchase the Special Upgrade for US$70 and use your existing DBXanalyzer Licence ID in the download form above.
You don't need to have installed the GUI-based DBXanalyzer to use DBXazapi. Think of this as either (a) a way to reward previous purchasers of DBXanalyzer, or (b) buy DBXazapi and get a free copy of DBXanalyzer.
