A web-based forecast entry system

The problem

The client was using our Saturn system to handle purchase orders and forecasts for large corporate farming enterprises. The client wanted its larger client farms to be able to enter and review their own forecasts of requirements for agricultural chemicals and fertilisers.

The solution

DI Management designed a system that gave each client farm a password-protected page on a web-server. The web page included all agricultural chemicals that the client could order and a matrix going into the next 20 weeks. All the client farm had to do was log in, fill out the latest requirements, and submit the new forecast.

When the client farm submitted the new forecast, an email was sent to the main client detailing the new forecast in a form that could be directly imported into the main system. The client could also log in to a secure page on the web and download the new data directly.
